Founded in 1980, the Academy of Culinary Arts (ACA) is Britain's leading professional association of Head Chefs, Pastry Chefs, Restaurant Managers and suppliers.
While concerned with raising standards and awareness of food, food provenance, cooking and service, the ACA objectives are equally focused on the new generation of young industry people through its education and training programmes and the provision of career opportunities.
We are immensely honoured to have His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales as our Patron.
The Academy's objectives are achieved through a number of initiatives and projects:
The Chefs Adopt A School project, which began in 1990 teaches school children all about food, food provenance and cookery through taste sessions delivered by Academicians. the Academy of Culinary Arts ‘Adopt A School' Trust was officially registered as Charity No. 1087567.
TThese are three-year vocational courses for young apprentices between 16 and 19 years old. A vital ingredient of these programmes is that the apprentices are employed by Academicians who mentor them throughout their training. The first Academy Specialised Chefs Course with Bournemouth & Poole College is a three-year block release programme and has been successfully running since 1989. the second Academy Chefs Apprenticeship Diploma with Thames Valley University is a day-release programme and has been running since 1993.

"I feel that the city of London should salute the sacrifices and service given by the most professional armed forces in the world, the stability of the City of London owes much to the armed forces over the last century from the Blitz in London to the more recent challenges of enhancing the security of the city against terrorist's threats. The History of the city and its future rely on this security. This event should be both a celebration of the old traditional and long standing ties that the city has enjoyed with the Armed forces and an opportunity to both show our gratitude for the service and sacrifices made by the forces and to raise money for their cause."

The Royal Automobile Club was founded in 1897 by Frederick Richard Simms and its distinguished history mirrors that of motoring itself. Ten years later in 1907, King Edward VII awarded the Club the Royal title that it still holds to this day and the Club's status was sealed as Britain's oldest and most influential motoring organisation.
The Club's early years were focussed on campaigning for the rights of the private motorist, introduction of the driving licence and staging the world's first ever motor race, Grand Prix and the famous London to Brighton Run, along with governing motor sport in Britain.
In 1999 the Club began operating as a private members' club, adding contemporary facilities and modernising and refurbishing both clubhouses for the benefit of its growing membership.
Today the Club continues to prosper with a diverse membership drawn from all four corners of the globe, two stunning and unique clubhouses, a flourishing events programme and unsurpassed accommodation, dining, sports and golfing facilities.

A British icon since 1889, The Savoy has taken its place on the world stage after over a £100 million restoration. The hotel seamlessly blends elements of the original and the new while the stunning English Edwardian and Art Deco interiors sparkle with timeless elegance and glamour.
The 268 guestrooms and suites are the last word in style, luxury and discreet technology with stunning views of London and the River Thames. Nine ‘personality suites’ have been styled after some of The Savoy’s most high profile guests while a newly created 2-bedroom Royal Suite is truly a suite fit for a King.
The Savoy continues the tradition of culinary excellence started by Auguste Escoffier with the return of Gordon Ramsay to the Savoy Grill and with the reopening of the beloved River Restaurant.
Executive Chef of The Savoy, Bernhard Mayer follows in the footsteps of the legendary Escoffier, who was the hotel’s original Executive Chef. Bernhard runs the kitchens at The Savoy with a brigade of over 80 chefs. He supervises all the food that is served at The Savoy from the breakfast served to our guests by In-Room Dining to lunch in the River Restaurant and from our award-winning afternoon tea to the dinners created for guests attending high profile events in the 3 Banqueting Rooms and 6 Private Rooms.
With an enviable location on the River Thames, the London hotel is literally steps away from some of the world’s finest theatres, museums and opera houses. Its proximity to the City means The Savoy is ideally placed whether you are coming to London for business or pleasure.
